Heart-2-Paw is a compassionate support service from Pet Care Club of Central PA designed to help pets and their families during life’s most sensitive moments. This program focuses on quality-of-life support, caregiver guidance, and meaningful memory-making experiences for the pets who mean so much to us.
The Heart-2-Paw Support Program is offered by The Pet Care Club of Central PA. The program provides non-clinical emotional and practical support for pet parents navigating the complex realities of caregiving, pet loss, and end-of-life decision-making.
Led by a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with a Doctorate in Social Work, the program focuses on anticipatory grief, disenfranchised grief, caregiver stress, and emotional overwhelm—helping pet families feel supported, informed, and grounded during some of the most difficult moments of pet ownership.
This program does not provide therapy, mental health diagnosis, veterinary care, or clinical treatment.

Questions Before You Get Started
Heart 2 Paw is a non-clinical support service designed to help pet parents navigate difficult moments such as serious illness, end-of-life decisions, and pet loss. We provide emotional support, guidance, and practical help so you don’t have to go through it alone.
No. Heart 2 Paw is not therapy or clinical counseling. We offer compassionate, non-clinical support to help you process emotions, make decisions, and feel supported during a very difficult time.
You can reach out at any stage — whether your pet has just been diagnosed, is experiencing a decline in quality of life, or you’ve recently experienced a loss. Early support can help you feel more prepared and less overwhelmed.
We understand how difficult that question is. While we do not make medical decisions, we help guide you through quality-of-life considerations, provide emotional support, and help you feel more confident in the choices you’re making alongside your veterinarian.
Yes, in many cases we can provide support during veterinary appointments, either in person (with clinic approval) or virtually. We can help you prepare questions, take notes, and process information afterward.
We offer pet loss grief support, including emotional guidance, coping strategies, and space to talk through your experience. We can also help with memorial ideas and ways to honor your pet’s life.
No — we support pet parents of all kinds of animals. The bond you share with your pet matters, no matter the species.
Getting started is simple. Reach out to schedule a free 15-minute consult, and we’ll talk through your situation and how we can best support you.
That’s completely okay. This is an emotional and often overwhelming time, and you don’t have to have everything figured out. We’re here to meet you where you are and support you step by step.
